Regulations and Standards Subcomittee
Charge
- Obtain copies of all regulations and identify barriers to programs, such as:
- Transportation
- Playground
- Fire & health regulations
- Identify minimum health & safety standards for all programs (define programs).
- Look at what other groups develop to see if it impacts regulation.
- Identify processes for regulations/monitoring/corrective action/consequences/appeals.
- Identify quality standards and link financial incentives.
- Examine regulatory practices of other states, how to compare and make recommendations for changes.
- Develop standards for parents to use in evaluating care.
- Look at peer and community review.
- Examine ways to reduce/streamline the regulatory process.
