Public Information

During an event, information about the threat and about protective actions is communicated to the public and media. This might include information about the location of the emergency or crisis event, hotline numbers, helpful Web site addresses, or the health impact of the event. Useful information would include facts about the threat agents and their transmission, decontamination advice, and other necessary medical advice .  In the event the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) is mobilized, effective communications will be necessary to inform the public about where to get protective medicines and how to take them.
