ATTENTION ADAP PARTICIPANTS AND PHARMACISTS The WV AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) is providing new services to wrap around the Medicare Part D benefit, effective January 1, 2005. The ADAP will pay for Medicare Part D deductibles, co-payments and the "donut hole" for all active ADAP participants. As the payer of last resort, ADAP legislative mandates require that Medicare Part D or any other third party payer be billed prior to billing ADAP. Active ADAP participants are required to enroll in Medicare Part D. ADAP participants may call 304-232-6822 for assistance in enrolling in Medicare Part D and for assistance in paying Part D premiums. Pharmacists: Drug claims for dual eligible ADAP members when submitted to ADAP will deny with NCPDP edit 41 (Unisys edit 7011), "submit claim to primary payer." ADAP will accept for processing secondary claims for drugs which are covered by the ADAP formulary. |
